Built out of frustration
Alternative fashion in Belgium meant scouring the internet, waiting weeks, and settling for whatever niche corner of a mainstream store had to offer. I wanted a place that truly understood the culture, not just the aesthetic.
So in 2021 I started House of Bones as a webshop. Two years later we opened our boutique at Kammenstraat 57, and today it's a home base for the rock, gothic, punk, metal and emo crowd from all over Belgium and the Netherlands.
Alternative fashion is not a trend. It's a lifestyle.

The story so far
House of Bones starts online, born out of frustration with what Belgium had to offer.
Our boutique opens its doors in the heart of Antwerp.
A permanent tattoo shop moves into the first floor.
Events, flash days, the Alternative Closet Sale and a loyalty club with its own currency: Bones.
What we stand for
Being part of a counterculture means questioning the system. Including the fashion industry.
Every piece is chosen because it belongs in your wardrobe, not because an algorithm said so.
We buy in small quantities to reduce waste. Less stock, more character.

Is the collection in store the same as online?
Mostly, yes. In the store we sometimes carry limited collections from local designers that aren't available online and are hard to ship (like taxidermy). Got a question about availability? Just ask us.
Can I pick up my online order in store?
Yes. Choose 'Pickup' at checkout and skip the shipping costs. Your order waits for you in store for 7 calendar days.
Where can I park?
Parking in Antwerp is only available in underground car parks. The closest ones are Oudaan, Kammenstraat and Groenplaats. Prices are high in the city, so a P+R outside the city plus the tram is a good alternative.
Is the store wheelchair friendly?
Yes. The store is wide enough to browse comfortably, we have one larger fitting room, and if that is too small we happily give you privacy in our closed-off stock room. Our team is always there to help.
Can I use my gift card in store?
Yes. Webshop gift cards work at the till too. Show the QR code or your gift card code.
